Stormlight playing cards from the Words of Radiance Leatherbound Backerkit
You wouldn't know it from the current state of my home office, but I don't like the swag and nicknacks one acquires over years of preorders, conventions, and giveaways.
You wouldn't know it from the current state of my home office, but I don't really like the swag and nicknacks one acquires over years of preorders, conventions, and giveaways.
I can easily make some exceptions with the latest haul from the Words of Radiance Leatherbound Backerkit.
I ordered almost everything you could in the package deal (ironic), but my favorite non-book item is the Stormlight playing cards.
The art (seen below) is incredible. From the goldwork on the box to the detailed depictions of the most noteworthy spren on the cards... it's more art than a functional set of playing cards.
I may bring them out at some point during a Cosmere RPG session, but most days, they go on a shelf right next to the Mistborn playing cards.

More to come
I plan on sharing more of the amazing books and gear I got from the Words of Radiance Leatherbound Backerkit. In addition to the signed and numbered copy of the book, I also picked up a copy of Dragonsteel Prime and all 10 orders of Radiants swag kits. I screwed myself there.
They are amazing and well done, especially the banners, but I struggle to find a place to display it all.
If you like this kind of thing, stick around. I'll be going to Nexus this year and will have plenty to share.
